#25 Bangkok I

So the trip I've been anticipating since January came and went in a flash! It was my first time in Thailand and I guess I haven't been overseas for so long I kind of lost the mentality to prepare myself for it. I went there with zero knowledge of the language and their culture but oh well it's bangkok anyway they should be used to tourist not knowing them anyway hahah

C drove down to my house to pick me, then to his house to pick up his stuffs. Made a wrong turn along the way so we ended up having a mini adventure at Clementi area hahaha. But no worries, we got it under control and made to his house safely where papachow drove us to the airport next!

Reached fairly early so we checked in our luggage and went to have some food over at Macs. Sudden realization that it has been more than a month since I ate macs! Side track: There's KFC in NTU now too!!! Yay to bandito pocket in school (/^▽^)/

Flight at 1735 and we reached bangkok in about 2 hours. C highly recommends Scoot due to it's leg space. Trust him because he's 1.8m and have super looooong legs that makes our selfie moments incredibly difficult most of the times (︶︹︺) 

If you're intending to purchase a SIM card with unlimited Internet access you can do so once at the arrival hall. You could choose between AIS 3G or DTAC who are just side by side each other. Both have it at 299THB so I don't think there's gonna be much difference who you purchase it from. We bought ours from AIS simply because they advertised themselves as the most trusted operator in Thailand HAHAHAHA #marketingwins Not sure about DTAC, but personally felt AIS 3G was rather slow.

Proceeded to take the airport link towards Phayathai at 45THB if I remembered correctly hahaha. 8 stops in total and about 30 mins and we were in Phayathai where we had to change to the Sukhumvit Line to get to Phloen Chit.

If there's one thing about Bangkok's BTS it's the lack of downriding escalator hahah, C had to carry our luggage which weighed 15kg down the stairs. Walked to Hotel Solo Sukhumvit 2 which is pretty conveniently located near Phloen Chit. Upon reaching Phloen Chit, take exit 4 and keep walking straight until you see a Macs on your right and that building is Phloen Chit Centre. Follow the pavement and turn right into an alley when you see JW Marriot Hotel. From there on, continue walking straight and you'll reach Hotel Solo. It's quite a long walk because it's almost at the end of the stretch. Checked in and kind of settled and familiarized ourselves with the room before we went out for our first meal in bangkok!!! ~(˘▾˘)~

There was free Tuktuk service by hotel to Phloen Chit Centre and then we took the BTS to Asoke. Was quite lost trying to find the restaurant "Love Scene" that C found online. But no worries when you're overseas with google maps and a guy who has been through army, they will lead you to the place eventually 〜(^∇^〜）When we reached, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves until this group of 7 guy tiongs came and wrecked our peace (*｀へ´*)  

Fresh Oysters at 65THB each!!! (ﾉ≧∀≦)ﾉ  Doesn't look very appealing but it was very fresh! Even C who doesn't eat oysters had 2 hehe me brings new experiences to his life (~‾⌣‾)~

Tomyum, Pad Thai and some pork dish. Simple but fulfilling enough. We actually ordered papaya salad too but C had a taste and condemned it due to the uncooked greens so I did not even touch it at all.

40 THB Magnum for dessert! That's like $1.60SGD. Sigh, why is everything so exensive in Sg (╯︵╰,)

Manhattans Small Flame Platter ONE FOR ONE!!!〜(￣▽￣〜)

With the shuijingbao again! Sat at J8 open areas looking at a bunch of jc kids and thinking back of our pathetic jc life sighhhhhhhhh (๑◕︵◕๑)

Random meet up one day missing Odelia who went home early. With ma favorite robot OPTIMUS PRIMEEEEE (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ Excited for Transformers 3 just kinda missing the cast from Transformers 1 instead. Megan Fox was the bomb!

This never gets old (｡♥‿♥｡)

So bored at work someday don't know if it's because there's really that little thing to do or if I'm just too efficient. I shall believe in the latter (¬‿¬)  Gonna be the last week of work! Please recontract me )': Too lazy to find another job or do adhoc zzzzz

And so today we had Thai Food after our failed attempt last week. I forced hungry chow to not touch the food until I managed to get this picture hahahaha. TOMYUM I will never get sick of you ♥♥♥ 34 more days to my Bangkok trip omg it feels so far away I'm getting so sighhhhhh. I just want to escape asap ): Reality sucks there's too always so much things to do/worry. Best news is there's no more curfew whoopieeeeeeeeeeeee (｡´∀｀)ﾉ

Finally got a job after what seems like forever, and it has already been a month. Just praying they will recontract me cause I hate finding jobs though it's high possibility that they wouldn't because boss will be back from MC and there's no need for a temp anymore (╯︵╰,)

But first back to life without a job yet. (=^-ω-^=)

Seniors Camp Day 1 & 2! Sapped the energy out of me, I'm too old to manage camps (︶︹︺)

Met Crystal after the first day of work for dinner. 320 below is definitely worth the fats. SOOOOOOOOO CREAMY AND SOFT TOO GOOD YUMZ (ﾉ´ヮ´)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Jobweek again. But at least it was one of the better ones that we managed to earn quite a fair bit.

#21 River Safari

Finally back back back since exams ended on Friday! River Safari and it finally felt like finals really ended! ^^

Met C at AMK at 830am but as usual, C is always later than me (¬､¬) And so went to buy some bread as snacks so we wouldn't be hungry too soon. Took 138 from AMK Bus interchange and it was a very smooth and fast journey even though it seemed to have many stops. Bought our tickets online so we bought River Cruise tickets from the counter booth and booked our ride at 1030AM to avoid the rain ｡◕‿◕｡ I think I was so excited I couldn't sleep the day before hahahaa

Started from Mississippi River and we were lucky to be able to catch the 930AM guided tour. Life saviour indeed because without it I would have just scanned through that area because I practically have 0 interest in fishes （⌒▽⌒ゞ There were some animals brought out for exhibition too! Like the American Dog below. Sooooooooooo cute please but just after we touched it the tour guide actually revealed that they have their own scent--- which is their very own urine. Well played guys well played ((´д｀)) But it's okay I'll forgive yall cause it's cute hahahah.

There were also other animals like snakes (mega yucks), tortoise and also a lizard (yucks) so 0 photos of them. Followed their tour until Mekong River where they fed this huge aquarium of fishes (Mekong Giant Catfish, Giant Freshwater Stingray) before we rushed for our River Quest!!!! 

Supposed to reach 5 minutes before the allocated time to start queuing but we reached there right on the dot. Guess it's rather empty today so they didn't care either. The boat was raised up and descended a very mild slope before the quest truly started. All I thought was omg please don't make me smelly (╯︵╰,) Felt the pace was a little fast. There were animals on both left and right so if you tried to spot the animal on one side you'll miss the ones on the other side. Would have been better if it was slower and if the Jaguars were active and not sleeping!

Walked back to where we left off and continued our trail until the Yangtze River! Panda Exhibition coming right up! Though I gotta say I actually found the Chinese Alligator rather cute because it's so active and tiny! Found out today that caviar actually came from Sturgeon (⌒_⌒;) Hur hurrrrrrrr. And well then moving to pandas and RED PANDAS!!!!

Kaikai is such a pig. When we reahed he was just lying flat on his bamboo mattress. #totallyexposed Just like a uni student who finished his finals Then he woke up for a while and shifted to the back of a tree and used his stumpy leg as a cushion to continue sleeping. Damn funny couldn't stop laughing it's totally the life that I want. Didn't really visit Jiajia cause she's so shy and in her enclosure most of the time!Camped there for their feeding time which started at about 12, read online that it was 1120AM but seems like it's not a constant timing. Damn this Kaikai can really eat without caring about the onlookers. 

Just me and my favourite red panda ♥ Would have bought it if the price wasn't so steep (-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩___-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩)

Went out to have lunch at KFC but they didn't have Bandito. WHYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Settled for second favorite Zinger instead.Went back for round 2 of adventure after lunch! Started from the other side of River Safari (exhibits are built in a circle) AMAZON FLOODED FOREST for the Manatee Dugong and Giant River Otter! Feeding time for manatee again, we're in luck! There are so fat but so cutezzzzzzzzzz, fat shall be the new cute please, rid the world of eating disorders!!! Giant otter are just so active, cute and fast swimmers and I caught it shitting hahaha! Place was designed like a Sea Aquarium with it's huge viewing area. But too cold for comfort ): Left and headed to the Squirrel Monkey Forest, damn cutsey but was damn wary if they would pee/shit on me hahaha

Next was Jagurandi. Damn they look like cats! They grey one was especially prettyyy like cats! There were rather playful and running about and attacking each other hehehe.

And so with nothing more left to view, C accompanied me to view my red pandas for one last time and say goodbye ): Somebody give me a red panda already )': River safari wasn't too bad just too small. Could have finished the whole park in one morning if we decided to chiong but we just decided to take our time and slowly walk and camp at certain exhibits haha. Definitely not enough for a one day activity. More and active animals will be appreciated!

But whatever, still the best date of the holidays. Looking forward to bangkok already ^^♥

As much as it being a waste, it is just as tiring holding on.

I can't wait to graduate, but I'm not looking forward to growing up.
