#21 River Safari

Finally back back back since exams ended on Friday! River Safari and it finally felt like finals really ended! ^^
Met C at AMK at 830am but as usual, C is always later than me (¬、¬) And so went to buy some bread as snacks so we wouldn't be hungry too soon. Took 138 from AMK Bus interchange and it was a very smooth and fast journey even though it seemed to have many stops. Bought our tickets online so we bought River Cruise tickets from the counter booth and booked our ride at 1030AM to avoid the rain 。◕‿◕。 I think I was so excited I couldn't sleep the day before hahahaa

Started from Mississippi River and we were lucky to be able to catch the 930AM guided tour. Life saviour indeed because without it I would have just scanned through that area because I practically have 0 interest in fishes (⌒▽⌒ゞ There were some animals brought out for exhibition too! Like the American Dog below. Sooooooooooo cute please but just after we touched it the tour guide actually revealed that they have their own scent--- which is their very own urine. Well played guys well played ((´д`)) But it's okay I'll forgive yall cause it's cute hahahah.

There were also other animals like snakes (mega yucks), tortoise and also a lizard (yucks) so 0 photos of them. Followed their tour until Mekong River where they fed this huge aquarium of fishes (Mekong Giant Catfish, Giant Freshwater Stingray) before we rushed for our River Quest!!!!

Supposed to reach 5 minutes before the allocated time to start queuing but we reached there right on the dot. Guess it's rather empty today so they didn't care either. The boat was raised up and descended a very mild slope before the quest truly started. All I thought was omg please don't make me smelly (╯︵╰,) Felt the pace was a little fast. There were animals on both left and right so if you tried to spot the animal on one side you'll miss the ones on the other side. Would have been better if it was slower and if the Jaguars were active and not sleeping!

Walked back to where we left off and continued our trail until the Yangtze River! Panda Exhibition coming right up! Though I gotta say I actually found the Chinese Alligator rather cute because it's so active and tiny! Found out today that caviar actually came from Sturgeon (⌒_⌒;) Hur hurrrrrrrr. And well then moving to pandas and RED PANDAS!!!!

Kaikai is such a pig. When we reahed he was just lying flat on his bamboo mattress. #totallyexposed Just like a uni student who finished his finals Then he woke up for a while and shifted to the back of a tree and used his stumpy leg as a cushion to continue sleeping. Damn funny couldn't stop laughing it's totally the life that I want. Didn't really visit Jiajia cause she's so shy and in her enclosure most of the time!Camped there for their feeding time which started at about 12, read online that it was 1120AM but seems like it's not a constant timing. Damn this Kaikai can really eat without caring about the onlookers.

Just me and my favourite red panda  Would have bought it if the price wasn't so steep (-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩___-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩)

Went out to have lunch at KFC but they didn't have Bandito. WHYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Settled for second favorite Zinger instead.Went back for round 2 of adventure after lunch! Started from the other side of River Safari (exhibits are built in a circle) AMAZON FLOODED FOREST for the Manatee Dugong and Giant River Otter! Feeding time for manatee again, we're in luck! There are so fat but so cutezzzzzzzzzz, fat shall be the new cute please, rid the world of eating disorders!!! Giant otter are just so active, cute and fast swimmers and I caught it shitting hahaha! Place was designed like a Sea Aquarium with it's huge viewing area. But too cold for comfort ): Left and headed to the Squirrel Monkey Forest, damn cutsey but was damn wary if they would pee/shit on me hahaha

Next was Jagurandi. Damn they look like cats! They grey one was especially prettyyy like cats! There were rather playful and running about and attacking each other hehehe.

And so with nothing more left to view, C accompanied me to view my red pandas for one last time and say goodbye ): Somebody give me a red panda already )': River safari wasn't too bad just too small. Could have finished the whole park in one morning if we decided to chiong but we just decided to take our time and slowly walk and camp at certain exhibits haha. Definitely not enough for a one day activity. More and active animals will be appreciated!

But whatever, still the best date of the holidays. Looking forward to bangkok already ^^

#15 First Week of Year 2 Sem 2

School officially started but I'm still in holiday mood. Spent the first week of school as if it's still the holidays omg. Guilty, but hey, time spent with friends are priceless. :')

JB trip to dye Anna's hair. Thanks to lz for coming down just to be our security guard hahahah

Met up with some of the 33rds after the trip! Such spontaneity I think can only be found in these council friends. Only when we met did I really know who are the ones turning up hahah. And venue was only decided like 1 hour before we met! The best plans are the unplanned, truly. Huiyang also very spontaneously treated us dinner at pizza hut and dessert at marble slab because sign on kids are so damn rich. Jaw dropped when I heard his pay. I want it too!!!

Oh and yes, I booked our flight to BKK just because scoot was having a promotion! What an exciting day :)

Went JB again the very next day for seafood *yumzzzzzz* Met the guys at causeway and we crossed the customs ourselves. Went City Square before we decided to cab to KSL because noob me has never been there. But it was a very wasted trip because there's absolutely nothing there! City square is much better! Only thing was that I managed to try the bear paw bun at only RM 7.90! C commented that it's a gimmick that no one would fall for. But.......... I........ did......... -.- Okay whatever, but there's really nothing special about the bun except for it's cuteness after trying it.

Took a cab from the same cab driver who drove us to KSL, but this time was 6 people in a cab to Senibong, haaaaaaaa it was rather torturous because it was much mooooorrrrreee further. Cab driver was friendly though and shared with us his life story. Like wow, but we couldn't determine how much truth it contains.

Had dinner at Permas Seafood Village. Came back and checked online and their ratings were not bad though! Spent about RM 350 in total which amounted to about SDG$24 per person.

Hokkien Mee with Crab Meat

Pineapple Fried Rice

Mussles

Sambal Kang Kong

Hotplate Tofu

Fried Butter Prawns

Steamed Fish

Fried Ice Cream

Won't say it's like amazingly delicious. But the fried butter praws were really good! Fried so well that we just ate it with it's shells. Fish was fresh and mussles were relatively large. But for the price we paid it was definitely worth it.

Same cab driver gave a mini tour of the duty free area which I never knew existed before sending us to the customs. Paid RM120 for the 2 trips which we felt was a little steep but when converted back to SGD, it's only about $8/person, so yes still rather cheap.

And today, my boy officially drove for the first time! Hahaha so proud of him for being able to pass when almost everyone fail under that instructor. Congratulations! May you be able to drive like a pro soon!

Last day to chill tomorrow and it's time to really start studying for the sem especially when every core is so difficult! Lesigh )):

#13 USS!! ♥

I think I'm like the slowest person around. USS officially opened in 2010 and I only visit it in 2014 hehhhh, better late than never right. Was so excited for it as I really really really love theme parks. It has this magic that makes people happy just by thinking about it ^^ Checked the weather forecast during work the day before and was so sad to see that rain and thunderstorm was predicted ): But we are fortunately blessed because it didn't rain at all!!! Neither was it sunny wheeeeee and the queues were surprisingly short, like an average of 10 mins for every ride :) Only regret was not being able to meet the mascots I wanted to meet ): But it's okay still a wonderful day ^^

Sunlight is the best filter ever (:

Went into the park and first mascot we saw was Cookie Monster!! Too cute to resist as he was shaking his butt there and we joined the line to take a photo with him immediately!

First ride was transformers! But sadly when it was reaching our turn there was some technical difficulties and so we ended up waiting quite a while. But it's okay, at least we got the front seats and the ride was worth the wait! My optimus prime damn handsome

Went on to the accelerator next which C was hesitant to take and gave old people's complains like how the ride makes him dizzy but noooooooooo, chin makes sure you ride it :D

Conquered the mummy, twice wheeee *pats self on the back* :)

Random selfies while queuing for treasure hunter as old man C says he wanna rest his butt. Went for rapid adventure at lost world but no photos because I was damn worried that I'll be soaked and my camera will be spoilt. USS sells ponchos at $4, we only got ours at $1 hahah what a win. The ride warns "you might be soaked" but I guess we chose the wrong seats because we were the most wet out of everyone and if not for our poncho I guess we will be soaked! But the ride was rather boring at first and the last part was quite a surprise!

Smelly wet hair ):

Le $11.50 Wanton Mee set meal at the Lost World, Discovery food court.

Random ride to pass time as we were waiting for the Water Show WHICH WAS DAMN FREAKING AWESOME OMG. The female lead was damn chio hahah. And they even made reference to wrecking ball and the fox hahaha. Best show ever.

Longest wait that day was probably for Canopy Flyer. Damn fun like flying through the park wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. And yes, waiting time is selfie time whoop. This is probably how we broke record of having the most photos taken that day.

Shrek 4D & Enchanted Airways at Far Far Away. Most chill roller coaster in USS.

If only the castle was mine )':

Tiptoeing not because I want to okay -.- Just right before the photographer took it the guy in the mascot (I suppose so cause he used so much strength) suddenly hugged damn tightly and kind of lifted his hands up, so I was forced to tiptoe or I would have fell lolllll

Omg churros I lurb you guys so much. :')

Spaghetti Space Chase was such a magical ride! Especially the outer space region hehe. Was in awe and so excited I didn't listen to what the story was about at all

From 180cm peeps pov. Lights Camera Action was damn cool too! So damn amazing how everything seems so real.

Can I have your figure please )':

Thanks for making it such a wonderful day! And for taking care of kid-like me hehe ♥
