#42 Feliz Navidad!

"tis the season to be jolly!"
So happy that Christmas is finally here!!!
Heard this first during Christmas Service but Pentatonix's version is so so much better!!!

2 days of Christmas Celebration starts here!!!
Buffet Lunch on 23/12 at The Square @ Furama.
I think this tops the list of the most expensive meal we ever had!
$55++ per person but there's the 1 for 1 credit card promotion so we paid $64.75 in total for 2. Expected more variety for such pricing and a hotel buffet but mehhhhh.
I was basically stuffing myself with salmon sashimi, boiled prawns, cereal crayfish and ribeye.
We ate so much sashimi till we were saying we can stop eating sashimi for the next 6 months.
But I realized I was so terribly wrong because I didn't mind having some sashimi the very next day!
I guess this shows that salmon sashimi is my one true love ♥
Deserts weren't too bad according to C because they had the vanilla sauce for their Chocolate Cake Pudding (?) and some crumble cake which was constantly empty LOL so I guess it's really good. Didn't like the creme brulee though but I was so happy that there's eclaire! So bloated at the end but it was raining so it spoiled our remaining plan to go Orchard and Gardens by the Bay and we just went straight back to hall.

Next day was the trip to S.E.A Aquarium since we managed to get cheap tickets! :D
The original ticket price of $38 is such a scam!
We finished the place even faster than River Safari and could be even faster if not for the Christmas Eve crowd.
I rather spend my money on something else that can last me a full day or at least half a day.
Didn't take much photos either since I don't appreciate fishes as much as bears/lions/horses unless you're talking about salmon sashimi hahahaha!

This thing actually moves but rather lame show really. Not even educational.

This stingray is damn cute instead of swimming like other stingrays it prefers to blob up and down. We went round the aquarium twice and both times it was doing the same thing.
Watching jellyfish blob up and down can be rather therapeutic surprisingly.

Off to Gardens by the Bay after dinner.
It was drizzling when we reached and I was so sad ):
Have wanted to come here ever since exam ended and it actually rained when I finally came???
C was like saying "you wanna just go?" and I interpreted it as go home instead and I felt pretty sad ): But he actually meant just proceed with plan despite the rain.
And so we braved the drizzle (which eventually became lighter) to where the Spalliere is.

It is so damn chioooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, even better on camera!
Even though the so called snow was foam but it was quite an experience.
Being in the Spalliere during Blizzard Time (Fake snow blizzard LOL) despite the rain and muddy patches was rather magical I will say.

Merry Merry Christmas!!!! (:

First photo after exams! Right outside the exam venue with the worst paper of the sem. But this also concludes the end of Year3 in NTU!!! GOODBYEEEEEEEEEEEE will be back in year 4 (: So excited about not having to study for 4 months.
First meal after liberation at Paradise Dynasty! I can eat ramen everyday omg.

So happy to finally see a christmas tree even though it's so pathetic cause it's so tiny hahahahaha! Ah my holidays still have yet to sink in that you're finally here!

Get yourself a bf who loves soccer so much that you have to be prepared to spend 90% of dates at sports store looking at soccer boots until you can even know what are the lastest design and colours. Interested parties please do contact me for free boots consultation with Mr C. Advice guaranteed with his materials science knowledge and passion for soccer!!!

Day 2 celebration after fixing my phone (which died after 2 days ohgosh thankfully for warranty, gotta fix it again on tuesday and they better not make me pay any more money >:( ) with hotspot fried fish maggie tomyum and llaollao!!! Hotspot's tomyum is so saturated with tomyum taste I think it's fitting to call it tomyum stew instead hahahah. The maggie is different also, it's QQ okay like korean ramen just that it's thinner! And llao llao is the best choice to bring down the heat!
Please always choose Rafaello sauce instead of chocolate/caramel/any others because Rafaello is what makes it worth the hype! Same goes for caramelized cooki for crunch and mango! We are gonna come up with a perfect combination 1 day!

Day 3 with church followed by Nam Nam and Andersen's Sundae by the fountain hehehe
Still can't express how happy I am that exams have ended, waited so long for this period to come where we don't have to worry about going home to late and having to get a study table. December has to be fulfilling before IA and it's back to same ol' work routine. Not quite sure how I will adapt to the life of an engineer though :/

#39 Tai Hwa Bak Chor Mee

If one day you're at the ICA and you happen to feel hungry, no worries for there's a really famous Bak Chor Mee just 5 minutes away!
From the ICA, walk towards the canal and look for block 446, that's where is stall is located at!

Tai Hwa Bak Chor Mee
Block 466 Crawford Lane
#01-12 Singapore 190465

Do yourself a favour and do AVOID peak hours!
We went after collecting my passport at about 12.30pm on a Saturday.
A very bad decision made.
C had to queue for more than an hour before we finally got to eat this bak chor mee.
C said it's because the stall owner is the only one cooking and he takes his time to prepare every dish. Probably to upkeep his reputation as one of the best in Singapore.

Noodles were good. Aren't soggy and doesn't have the flour aftertaste.
Sauce makes you want more of it, probably due to the amount of black vinegar added.
Flatfish was used to substitute pork lard.
Pork liver was excellent, done just right.
And the soup is also a highlight, full of flavorful with a dense meat cloud that you can't even see the bottom of the bowl.

C said it was rated by Makansutra as a die die must try dish.
Well... I do agree to a certain extent.
It is definitely one of the best Bak Chor Mee I have tasted till date. But, however nice a Bak Chor Mee is, will never make me want to sacrifice 1 hour of my life to queue for 20 minutes of enjoyment.
Will go back for it, but only at non-peak periods.

Just commemorating that I survived my worst hell week in NTU out of the 5 sems that I've been here.
3 tests, 2 assignments, 2 lab reports.
Thankful for ending Saturday with a good date and enjoyable service.
(They sang all my favorite songs :D)

2 more weeks to end of Year3 Sem1!

And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].

Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.

For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].

#37 If I Die Young

I like how google compiles burst shots into a gif, such a sweetie :3
Wedding dinner of oldest cousin 2 weeks ago. Photos with ma couzzies instead of the main stars of the day hahahha.
It's weird how aunties & uncles come along and ask "when is it gonna be your turn?" Like hello guyssssss, just legal this year and halfway through uni so I guess not anytime soon??? Hahaha, you can start saving your angbaos though ( ⋂‿⋂’)
Every Monday's food court Thai food yumz Ah Loy Thai, I'm so happy that you're at Jurong Point!
Pandan chicken and butter calamari are their best selling dishes. But tried out garlic pork since we are sick of the two already. It's rather good! Crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside with a hint of garlic taste!

Hell week the upcoming weeks, sincerely praying I manage everything well.
3011 CA, korean essay submission, 3014 CA, korean quiz, 3015 technical report and business plan submission......
And the following week just needs to have 3012 CA and 3015 presentation on the ssme day, wtf please profs????
Time management is everything for the next 2 weeks! Can't wait to be done with uni, but I think of FYP in Y4 and I'm not exactly ready nor excited for it pshhhhhhhh
Just in case, I don't manage to survive(~_~;) (actually just testing out a new app lawlz)

#35 Recess Week

I think this is the most chilling recess week I ever had ever since I started university. No test to study for, well true that I do have that 3015 design assignment and full report to work on.... But generally, compared to the previous 4 sems it's definitely the most relaxing. I didn't even spend a day in the library unlike the past 2 years.

So here's some ramen and xiaolongbao (my love) from paradise dynasty for monthsary about like 2 weeks ago. Truffle ones are so much loveeeeeeee! I made C give it to me :D But I took sucky flavors like ginseng and mala to make up for it okay!!!

Wednesday was date day with Maze Runner and Santouka Cha-Shu Ramen! Minho hehehe, so handsome. But it's a wonder how he still styles his hair throughout themovice and wear shirts to run everyday, must have been some hard work. Slightly infatuated with Newt's English accent, not too much but at a comfortable level. Everytime Gally is shown it jsut makes me feel that he's judging whatever's happening at the moment cause his eyebrows are forever arched hahaha. But overall, it's a good movie. It's something like the Hunger Games but yet not quite the same but think I prefer Hunger Games still.

And so we had Udders, Cookies & Cream X Red Velvet Cream Cheese Brownie, after Dragon Ball last Saturday and with this it means I OFFICIALLY END ALL MY EVENTS COMMITMENTS!!! Feels good to really not have nothing, forces myself to study sometimes. And then we had Ice Cream Chef yesterday, Creme Brulee X Cookies & Cream again. We're such suckers for cookies & cream but udders wins it hand down. It's flavor are so intense, you'll be fulfilled with it's creamy and strong intense flavor. Ice cream chef was mehhhh though. felt I was eating some plain milk ice cream instead, but the creme brulee was soooooooooo good! I almost ate the whole thing because C was driving and I fed him the cookies and cream half the time hahahaha.

Now to be ready for the remaining semester, which is the nightmare. All deadlines and CA's tend to choose the same week. Oh not forgetting that.... lab is starting again. Had such wonder weeks without lab and now it comes to haunt me in the morning for 3 weeks straight ):

Some days I ask myself if it's correct to have chosen IA for the next sem. Not so confident of having to do something that's not exactly of my interest for 6 months.... IO would have been just 3 months of suffering if I didn't like it....

Bedok 85 goodness YUMZZZZ forever the best!

NamNam. Hoping to go back for lunch deals which will be more worthy. No GST, no service charge!  Nam Nam actually provides a wide range of sauces for you to choose to add into your pho for more flavours, should probably do a research on which sauce is the best for pho!

LLAO LLAO <3 Sanum is probably 1 of the rare things I enjoy that consists of fruits. Not looking forward to the one opening in NTU, gonna be ever so crowded and jamming up the whole area. AND BRING STARBUCKS BACK, I need my liquid-caffeine-calories fix sometimes too ): (even though I don't really drink coffee)

Not really sure how to describe this. Not a bad experience but not definitely a head-turner. I still prefer my llaollao!

Paradise Dynasty Xiao Long Baoooooo! Definitely need to go back again to try all the flavours!

Dear Roomie's very advanced 21st at D'Kranji. Very very ulu, never attempt to book there for events if you don't have a car. But they definitely have better facilities and the place is more luxurious than chalets like aloha loyang. Hope you're having fun in TW!

It's week 5 and I'm swamped with tests and commitments ):

I don't get it.
I must be too boring for you.

Must I ask for renewal of my heart every few weeks?

Can We Prove Our Love?
As you love Jesus, you will naturally obey His teachings.

#29

Hopped over to Johor Premium Outlet on our 18 months for C to buy his sports shoes. Probably his new found heaven. Lunch and a cuppa flat white before we started shopping. Didn't manage to get anything and stores seems rather empty. December will be a much better time to go with all the year end and Christmas sales. There were more stocks on sale too.

From the Malaysia customs, follow the crowd down 2 flights of escalator. Upon passing by a desk where the police are stationed at, walk straight abit more and turn left to take the escalator down to the bus interchange. You should see a lift on your right and Starbucks a little bit down the road. Head to the furthest end of the interchange and take JPO1 which will bring you to the premium outlet, the bus comes and certain timings only and they're rather punctual so try to reach early. Journey took roughly 1 hour with 55 minutes being the minimum.

And then we sent off 2 of our tops. All these people going on exchange making me jelly~

Pastel & Brit (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

Random 5.30am adhoc job

Hall warming. Weird how there's so many people over at Hall 9.

From day 0 of year 3 sem 1 until the first friday. From new LTs (which I hate) to catching up with my favorite lab buddies. Blessed is being able to meet new people who click well with you. And finally ending the week at 2D1N sojubang korean bbq yumzzzzzz (=^-ω-^=) Not forgetting I had hotspot tomyum and llao llao yoghurt with C before them. #vroomvroomyumyumdays (:
